In the studios this week: A narrative of hands

Do what thou wilt...

Finally in the studios after so long so we try to follow on with a little more for: #anarrativeofhands.

This time channelling a little Crowley.

Only 2 shots worked out of 8 but its a start. Bad lighting, cold film, rushing and antibiotics have their toll.

I utilise an old 'Spectra' for its in-camera double exposures, its irregularity creates a natural abstraction.

Unlike digital Polaroid is cinematic, warm and fuzzy, a moment seen through someone's else's eyes.

Sketchbooking

More sketchbookery for a narrative of hands: Supine and shim.

Sketching really does help choreography and composition for double exposure. Invaluable when your not able to make it to the studios. The routine of fulltime work pacifies creativity...

Took my time with this little scratch, normally their free n easy collages to assess composition / alignment but today we have antibiotics so theres no rush.

Channelling a little Crowley.
